Summer Gannon
Summer Gannon is a dedicated community leader and volunteer with a strong background in organizational leadership, financial oversight, and community engagement. She currently serves as Treasurer for the Sunrise Sharks Swim Team, where she oversees financial operations, supports budgeting and fundraising efforts, and helps foster a positive, inclusive environment for swimmers and their families. Her work focuses on building strong relationships, encouraging community participation, and supporting a culture of teamwork and connection.
Summer brings over 10 years of professional experience as a Claims Representative with Landmark Healthcare, where she developed expertise in claims processing, compliance, and detailed documentation. Her background also includes leadership experience in retail management, strengthening her skills in problem-solving, communication, and team leadership.
As a parent, Summer has been homeschooling her two children for the past seven years, both of whom are part of the Cottonwood Charter School community. While homeschooling was not her initial plan, she quickly grew to appreciate the flexibility it provides and the opportunity it creates for her children to engage in hands-on learning, unique field trips, and subjects that may not typically be available in a traditional public school setting.
Summer is passionate about supporting families, fostering meaningful educational experiences, and serving her community with integrity. She is also currently pursuing certification in medical coding and billing and remains committed to continued personal and professional growth.
